Peter Lomax has run his Birmingham Race Course kennel since 2004. Before he developed an addiction for the racing greyhound, he worked as a data programmer for Berkshire Hathaway. He also owned a racing kennel at the Raynham-Taunton race course in New Hampshire. In addition to the varied administrative aspects of an kennel owner and trainer, he transports the dogs to the racetrack for weigh-in, performs night-shift duties, picks up the dogs after races, feeds the dogs that have raced, and does final turnout and cleanup. This is his story.
