BETTY LOMAX

» VIEW Peter Lomax » VIEW Lomax Kennel

The 24/7 Lomax Kennel operation usually starts with Betty Lomax opening the kennel at 6:45 a.m. and doing first turnout duties. She was a kennel owner/trainer at Raynham-Taunton Greyhound Park in New Hampshire before joining her husband, Peter, in Birmingham in 2005. As the kennel’s behind-the-scenes person, she oversees the ongoing nurturing duties and medical issues. Betty cleans the soiled crate carpets daily, sweeps the kennel, feeds the dogs, prepares the dogs for the day's races and, if needed, helps transport the racers to the track. This is her story.
