For many store customers, it’s their first time to meet a retired racing greyhound, to talk with owners and hear about the adoption process. The store’s location within a major complex of retail stores is ideal to show and tell the racing greyhound story for people not been exposed to the breed beyond the racetrack. The furniture store, one of the largest in the Midwest, helps the group publicize the event. As a chapter of Greyhound Pets of America, the group finds homes for the hounds in Kansas City metro area.
